Description

I wonder if they have snowmen in Equestria, given that there are no humans. What would they even look like? What would they be called?

This was a request from someone on Steam. I forgot to keep note of the actual request, but I remember it being about Fluttershy in Winter, and this idea popped into my head. So here's Fluttershy watching Angel make a snowbunny.

More experimenting with Paint Tool SAI for coloring. One of these days I'll be able to draw an image completely in SAI (without having to use Illustrator for the outlines), but I'm not quite there yet. I tried a different technique for shading than I did in my rainboom picture - what do you all think? Better? Worse? Suggestions? Criticisms?

Adobe Illustrator CS5 (Outlines, eyes, cutie mark) and Paint Tool SAI (everything else). About 10-12 hours total.

This is a nice, cute piece. I had some problems, but we can get to those later.

You are very good at shading, you barely missed a trick, and fluttershy looked pretty good!

Well, on to nitpicks.

The main problem I had with this was the dimensions. Fluttershy looks incredibly flat against the picture, a little off-putting. This was a consistent problem throughout your work.

The background was very plain, I know this was more of an experiment, but you need to add subtle things to make it interesting, not just two trees and an interesting sky color.

The snowman looked strange, the head looked like it was floating behind the body, and the body behind the bottom. Next time, add some lines to give the impression of collision?

Flutter's eyes were also a little strange, the were proportioned different, and the irises were too bright. (This can be disregarded as personal opinion, so ignore it if you wish.)

Al in all, I'd rate this an 8/10, its rather good, but some minor problems, keep on going!
